Mara Ellis
Senior Stylist & Owner
Mara has been behind the chair for 14 years. She opened The Gilded Chair in 2017 with one goal: a salon where you actually want to come back. Specializes in balayage, precision cuts, and color correction.
Jess Calloway
Color Specialist
Jess is obsessed with dimension — soft blondes, lived-in brunettes, and the kind of color that doesn't look "done." She completed advanced Redken color training in 2022 and it shows.
Ty Okafor
Stylist
Ty joined The Gilded Chair in 2023 after cutting his teeth at a downtown Chicago salon. He brings a sharp eye for men's cuts and modern styling techniques to everything he does.
